Summer Lovin'

Summer is almost at our doorstep- albeit, in the UK it's as if it turned up, saw us, and left! But nevertheless we can still pretend it's summer on those rare sunny days- so whether you're on a budget or splashing the cash... here are my summer must haves for the occasion.

Moisture Surge

 Products: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream SPF 50

The perfect base underneath foundation or primer! It acts like a shield keeping dry skin at bay (and it's a bonus that this particular one has sun protection.)

Mani/ Pedi

Products: Nars ‘Madness’ / Rimmel ‘Summer Orange’

Orange nail polish is great for faking a tan or enhancing the tan you already have.

Swipe and Go

 Products: Leighton Denny ‘Remove & Go’ / Bourjois ‘Dissolvant Miraculeux’

If you, like me can’t stick to one polish this summer, you don’t want to be faffing around with bottles of nail polish remover and cotton pads – just dip, swipe and magic.

Quick Lip

 Products: Elizabeth Arden Luminous Lip Gloss ‘Precious Petal 11’ / Clarins Natural Lip Perfector 06

Lip glosses over lipsticks this summer. Keep it easy, breezy with a hint of colour.  Pick your favourite shades and use alone in the day or over lipstick (if you must) in the evening.

Bright Eyes

 Products MUA ‘Turquoise’, ‘Royal Blue’ / Miners Colour & Kohl ‘Gold’

Have a bit of fun with your bottom lash line- whether you want it to match your accessories or accentuate your eyes in the summer sun.

Bronze Goddess

 Products: Laura Mercier Bronzing Pressed Powder ‘Golden Bronze’

Fake it til you make it (tan wise). Brighten up your face and accentuate your best features; opt for bronzer as contouring can be a bit too harsh for the summer days.

Cream Sheen

 Products: Topshop ‘Head Over Heels’ / YSL Crème de Blush 9

If  bronzing isn’t enough and you gotta add extra colour... use a cream blusher, it gives a more natural, fresh finish.

Good Hair Day

 Products: Mark Hill Holiday Hair ‘Sun, Sea, Frizz-Free Anti Humidity Spray’
/ Lee Stafford ‘Climate Control Protection Spray’

Climate control sprays- never leave home without it! Frizz, frizz go away with these handy, finely scented sprays.

Summer Glow

/ Maybelline ‘Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream’

This summer, let your skin breathe... a bit. Using lightweight but medium coverage BB Creams and Tinted Moisturisers are the perfect way to achieve the effortless beach glow.

Spritz

 Products: Caudalie ‘Beauty Elixir’ / Urban Decay ‘All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray’

Facial mists keep make up looking fresher and setting sprays keep the makeup lasting longer... No fears of melting faces here!

Day to Night Fragrance

If you’re out making the most of day and then decide to turn it into a late one, its handy to have a fragrance that works best for the day and the evening, (and even better one that will last that long!)

Arm Candy

Watches should be your favourite accessory this summer 1) because the days are longer who can even tell when its 10pm anymore?! And 2) you don't want to be weighed down by a million different pieces of jewellery... Pick the right watch and keep it #chic

Legs for Days

It’s got to be wedges for every occasion. Who doesn't want longer legs?! And with these easy to walk in heels you can have just that this summer... Day AND night!

Hair DOS

Mix it up, keep your hair out of your face and off your tan this summer by using a pony tail, high bun or cute summer braids.

And finally - most important of all... Sun Cream! But I’ll leave that choice up to you ;-)
